Tosiwo Nakayama went to the University of Hawaii on a Trust Territory scholarship.
What happened
Nakayama had finished the Pacific Islands Central School in 1953. After University High in Honolulu, he spent two years at the University of Hawaii, then returned to Truk, where he soon led the district legislature.
