Chuuk’s first church is organized on Uman with 24 members.

What happened

The Uman church was organized during a mission meeting held by Morning Star III, which received 24 members. The MicSem list files this visit under the ship’s 1880–81 voyage, which left the Mortlocks on 28–31 December before reaching Chuuk, so the date may be January 1881.
