The ABCFM General Mission Meeting is held on Kosrae during Morning Star III’s visit.

What happened

The American Board’s General Mission Meeting gathered missionaries on Kosrae for ten days before Morning Star III sailed west. By then Kosrae hosted mission training schools at Mwot for students from the Marshall and Gilbert Islands, and the Gilbert Islands school moved there that year.
