What happened
Fr. Agustín de Arínez, born José Gandaluce Urbina in Álava in 1858, was the most fluent Pohnpeian speaker among the Capuchins. His dictionary, printed at Tambobong in the Philippines, was the first book published by the Catholic mission on Pohnpei, and copies arrived on a mail ship in 1893.
