An imperial German order takes possession of the archipelago.
What happened
With this order the islands were formally taken into possession for the German Reich. They were attached to German New Guinea, whose governor was responsible for them, with district officers for the Western Carolines (including Palau) and for the Marianas, and a vice-governor seated on Pohnpei for the east.
