Victor Berg succeeds Albert Hahl as Ponape district officer, serving until 1907.
What happened
Berg replaced Albert Hahl, the first German head on Pohnpei, whom the German archive credits with a de-escalating approach during his nearly two years there. Until 1907 the head of the Ponape district also held the title of vice-governor of German New Guinea. This list of officers comes from a Wikipedia mirror.
