Elvyn J. Beall became Officer in Charge of the Military Government Unit Ponape, the sixth Navy officer in that post since Sept 1945.

What happened

After the surrender, the US Navy ran Pohnpei through a military government unit whose officer in charge changed often. Beall served until September 1947, when civil administrators replaced the military government.
