The Trust Territory High Court ruled in Kehler v. Kehler that the 1912 German title-deed rules still governed Ponape land.

What happened

The appeals court fully agreed with the 1951 Kilara ruling that the 1912 German land law, set out in the standard German title document, was still in force except where later governments had changed it. It sent the case back for a new trial.
