What happened

Koizumi Fumio (1927–1983) was a leading Japanese ethnomusicologist and professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, which keeps his recordings in a memorial archive. The 1978 Micronesia tapes include, for example, a church song in English sung by first-graders at Yap Elementary School.
