What happened

The two at-large seats opened when Congress made Panuelo president and Yosiwo George vice president. Christian returned to Congress with 6,060 votes, and Palik won Kosrae’s seat with 54%. Pacific Island Times dates the vote to 2 July; Wikipedia gives 4 July.

Why it matters

Palik became vice president in 2022 after George died in office.
