What happened

The ship Planter, under Captain L. Frazer, was sailing from Australia to India; its crew also saw small islands to the northwest that must have been Pakin. Later that month it traded calico and empty bottles with islanders at “Royalist Island,” probably Losap or Kuop, near Chuuk.
