HMS Larne (Cmdr Blake) investigates the Falcon affair and Ngatik massacre; no charges are laid.
What happened
The British warship HMS Larne, under Commander P. L. Blake, spent two weeks on Pohnpei interviewing people about what the Lambton’s crew had done after the Falcon was burned, then anchored three days at Ngatik. The Larne reportedly took away an old bronze Spanish cannon from Kitti, and Blake’s account describes the beachcombers living on Pohnpei.
