Snow begins formal church services with King Lepalik I’s support.

What happened

Rev. Benjamin Snow held the first formal church services about four months after landing, helped by the friendliness of King Lepalik I. Growth was slow at first: ten years later the church had only 20 members and about 100 regular hearers.
