Kosrae’s church has 197 members; a stone church is dedicated during Morning Star II’s visit.

What happened

The new stone church was dedicated when Morning Star II returned to Kosrae on 21 October. The church’s growth since 1864 had brought membership to 197, with two stone chapels on the main island and one on Lelu, while King Salik II still opposed Christianity.
