Spanish troops storm the Madolenihmw defenders’ fort, then withdraw; Ohwa’s Catholic buildings are destroyed.
What happened
Cabello describes a second expedition under Colonel Manuel Serrano that attacked the fortified position at Ketam (Moya’s “Ketan”) on 22–23 November; Moya records 83 Spanish casualties in a failed first assault before Serrano’s column took the position. The Spanish then withdrew to the colony, and the Capuchins gave up any plan to rebuild at Ohwa.
