Fr. Tirapu finds the Aleniang mission overgrown and sets up a new Kitti station at Roi.
What happened
Fr. José Tirapu visited the ruins of the burned Aleniang station with the new German governor. The governor wanted the attackers to pay damages, but Fr. José feared this would reopen old quarrels and instead chose Roi, the center of Kitti’s small Catholic community. The new church kept the old station’s patron, St. Felix of Cantalicio.
