The Krämer expedition returns from the Carolines with “an enormous body of material.”
What happened
Elisabeth Krämer-Bannow, who traveled with her husband, wrote in 1916 that the expedition came home with “an enormous body of material from the Carolines” waiting to be worked up. The results were published over the following decades as a multi-volume series, including Sarfert’s volume on Kosrae in 1914.
