Typhoon Lola damages Mokil and Pingelap airstrips; US disaster declared 3 June (DR-765).

What happened

Lola struck Pohnpei on 17 May and raged into the next day, snapping power poles and uprooting trees and crops. It also damaged outer-island crops and the airstrips on Mokil and Pingelap, and the US declared Pohnpei a major disaster area.
