Olter writes to the governors restating the One China policy and limiting Taiwan contacts.

What happened

Visits to Taiwan by some state officials had looked like official contact, and China’s ambassador had objected. Olter reminded the governors that the FSM recognized Beijing, so official contacts with Taiwan needed care, while commercial and unofficial ties, including Taiwanese investment, were still welcome.
