What happened

Voters also faced amendments to move land and water cases out of the national Supreme Court and to make each state honour other states’ laws and court rulings. Each needed 75% in three states; dual citizenship and the full-faith-and-credit measure passed that bar only in Chuuk, and the court measure in none.

Why it matters

Dual citizenship failed again in 2007, 2011 and 2017 before passing in 2023.
