Christian declares a national emergency (25 Feb), later converted to a national disaster to seek US Compact assistance.

What happened

The emergency let Christian release up to $200,000 from the disaster fund for the affected states, if Congress agreed. On 11 March he changed it to a national disaster declaration, as the FSM prepared to ask the US for a disaster declaration and more recovery funding.
