What happened

The visit marked 30 years of diplomatic ties. According to China’s Belt and Road portal, Xi praised the FSM’s commitment to the One China principle, and Panuelo said Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet were China’s internal affairs. Xi offered economic and technical help, and the two sides signed a visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders.
