Awane Oa uncovers a plot by four whites and fourteen Rotumans, expels them, and bans permanent white settlement.

What happened

According to the COM-FSM outline, the plotters (four white men, 14 men from Rotuma and one other foreigner) planned to seize power. All were expelled except two Rotumans married to Kosraeans, and a new law barred whites from settling permanently. The missionary ship Morning Star, visiting that September, found two whites and some Rotumans in conflict with the chief.
