What happened

Fr. Daniel Arbácegui, superior of the Yap mission since 1886, could do little more than say Mass and greet the people on each island. The trip was possible because more Capuchins had arrived in the 1890s, and MicSem calls it the beginning of evangelization in the outer islands.
