Kitti, Madolenihmw, U and Net perform the new compulsory labor; Fritz waives Sokehs’s 1909 labor. (No German text attests the waiver.)
What happened
Fritz consulted the five chiefdoms one by one: Kitti, Madolenihmw and U agreed at once, Net after some hesitation, and Sokehs only later, so Fritz waived its labor for 1909. His successor, Gustav Boeder, refused to honor that deal and in 1910 summoned the Sokehs people to rebuild the road to Kitti.
Why it matters
Sokehs men called to make up the missed labor were the road gang that rose against German rule in October 1910.
