What happened

Fritz had tried to carry out the land reform by slow negotiation before Berlin removed him in 1909. His 107-page book discusses the social and political conditions behind the rising and accuses the Catholic mission of stirring up hostility toward Protestants. Most observers instead blamed the reforms themselves and the German road foremen’s insulting behavior.
