Lieutenant Governor Strik Yoma found dead in Honolulu.

What happened

Strik Yoma had been named to coordinate Ponape’s new leadership conference on political status earlier that year. After his death, Congress passed a resolution of sympathy, and Governor Moses signed a law to fill the post through a special election.
